| Cherry Creek High School Spring Smear Competition Cherry Creek High School’s Climbing Team is hosting the third annual inter-high school climbing competition. The Spring Smear is on its way. Our purpose is to pose a challenge for our fellow high school climbers and to have fun. This is your opportunity to slap, scum, pinch, and gaston your way to glory. The competition will happen on Saturday, MARCH 22nd, 2008 from 7:30am to 12:30pm at ROCK’n and JAM’n 2 in Centennial. This event is open to any high school aged student. If a program has 5 or more competitors, they will be entered as a team. There will be recreational, intermediate and advanced categories. Awards will be given for top three males and females in each division, as well as the top three teams. There will be six climbs per category. Climbs in the recreational and intermediate category will be on top rope. Advanced will include lead climbing. Climbs will be judged on the highest hold reached. In this competition we will use a red point format, not isolation. You must provide your own equipment or rent it at ROCK’n and JAM’n 2. In order for you to register Cherry Creek High School will need to receive the following by Friday, MARCH 14th, 2008. - A $25.00 entrance fee.
